The Municipal Corporation of Castrelo do Val is constituted by 9 councilmen, including the Mayor, representing three political parties that at the moment are: Partido Socialista Obrero Español de Galicia (PSdG), Partido Popular de Galicia (PPdG) and Bloque Nacionalista Galego (BNG).
