The architecture shows the climatic influence and the materials existing in the area that offer a perfect integration in the landscape. Stone houses with wooden rails and slate roofs make part of the municipality appearance where we can found parishes with religious architecture in small churches and chapels as well as important evidences of popular architecture such as stone crosses (cruceiros), shrine to souls, mills, fountains or ancient apiaries surrounded by a stone wall.
From the architectural point of view, we shall underline the churches of Servoi, Gondulfes and Nocedo as well as the Chapel of Vilar but without forgetting the ancient heart of Nocedo that has an interesting fountain and several stone crosses of which the most important one is the stone cross of Pepin.
| Church of Servoi
The origin of this parish church is linked to a Benedictine monastery founded in the 10th century and donated to D. Diego, bishop of Ourense, by the King Alfonso VII “The Emperor” on the 28th May 1132.
The present church is dated 16th century even though it was rebuilt in the 17th century. It has baroque elements in its facade such as belfry and pinnacles. The inside thereof consisting of a single nave and vaulted ceiling.
The high altarpiece was made by the master Amaro da Silva, it cost 2030 copper coins and represented the images of St. Vincent, St. James the Greater, St. Paul and St. Antonio de Pádua. Both the high altarpiece and side altars are remarkable for their rustic wooden sculptures that were brilliantly coloured in the year 1956.

| Church of Nocedo
A small and single nave church built in the 17th century. The facade consisting of well-carved ashlars presents a door with a semicircular arch and above it a circular window allowing the inner illumination. The belfry-shaped top with two bells accentuates is verticality. At the side walls there are small and narrow windows alternating with external buttresses. As a curious element we can emphasize a shell-shaped niche crowned by a cross and an inscription. Inside the church it is remarkable the altar and high altarpiece in a “mannerist” way, it was made in 1655 by the sculptor D. Manuel Martinez.

Souls pocket of Gondulfes
Souls pockets are popular religious works erected in the roads whose aim is to collect some alms and say prayers for the souls in purgatory. This construction has rectangular shape and is made of stone with a cavity in the central body where is depicted St. Francis of Assisi taking the penitent souls out of the purgatory by means of a Franciscan cord.
It is topped by a single cross. Devotes use to put candles and offerings before this image..

| Shrine of Vilar
It is a small and single nave chapel with a door having a semicircular arch. Inside it we can found a Roman altar on which the altarpieces are situated.
In its fountain and washtub there are two medieval anthropoid sarcophaguses, one of them bearing a shield with two horses and the cross of the Jewish. |

Stone Cross of Pepín
Stone cross constructed in 1759 by Manuel Carre and ordered as an act of devotion by Mateo Carnero. It is founded on a three-stepped platform and consists of a square pedestal where it is engraved the year of its construction, a plain and slender shaft.
The stone cross is crowned by a wide capital decorated with acanthus leaves and scrolls on which the cross is placed. It presents an iconographic collection made up of Jesus Christ flanked b two smaller figures in a balanced manner. |

Stone Cross of Nocedo
The plain shaft and capital with acanthus leaves and scrolls are seated on a squared base, the latter being decorated with a skull on its front part. It is crowned by a single image of Jesus Christ on one of its sides and the figure of the Virgin on the other side.

Stone Cross of the Trascarreira
It has a squared base, plain shaft and simple ionic capital crowned by a cross whose front part shows an image of the Virgin Mary in a praying attitude. It was made by the master of stone cutting art Santiago Dacepa in 1704 and “ordered” as an act of devotion by D. Santiago Seoane.
