Each one of the villages of the Municipality of Castrelo do Val has its own/s popular celebration/ in honor of its Saint. Usually they are rejected, like in most of Galician towns, being a celebration with noticeable religious character in which the celebrated liturgical act in honors of the Saint occupies the most important moments in the morning. Also they sound in the morning to brighten up the day of celebration one "charanga" and a popular pit of orchestra and/or games in the evening night.

Here we presented/displayed a relation of the towns of the municipality with the festivity that it celebrates as well as the own day of celebration*

*Please check out that the day of the celebration is usually not a holiday, by that, in some cases, the celebration of that day can varies days to be the next/previuos week-end.

In addition to that celebrations, it exists other celebrations that occupy an important place in the cultural life of our inhabitants:

- Romería of the Dancers of Santa Marta in Fontefría (last Sunday of august):

This singular and ancestral dance of the dancers agree with romería of Santa Marta. The dance was suspended by pressures of the orensano bishopric in the Sixties and it recovered again in 1984, although it underwent several interruptions again. The origin of this dance is uncertain, although it is related to pagan agrarian rites. What is certain is that the one of the dancers of Fontefría is a spectacle forced within the circuit of orensanas white dances. The dancers are six men dressed in chaquetón white, fine and long, trousers of the same color and a crossed band. The dress coat is fitted with a belt in which a white cloth is placed. In the head they take to a conical cap dus 15/20cm. of stop, also white, adorned with tapes of different color for each one, and in the engalanadas hands, castanets. The performance begins after the solemn mass, accompanying the procession with its dances and you praise the Virgin. To arriving it at the seat from the town they turn around its cruise and next they make the braid of respective tapes in a mast coñcido like "the mapola". The tapes are of and black white, green, golden, blue, red color, and the dance always is accompanied by music.

- Night of the New Fire in Servoi that is celebrated by Saint John (June 24th): by root to pay it, the night of the New Fire commemorates with a bonfire and a traditional one between the neighbors, to end up jumping the bonfire in a ritual that it tried, in its beginnings, to purify the soul with at night shorter the alive fire of the year, in the summer equinox.

- the Virgin of the Carme to me (July 16th) in Castrelo do Val. One of the more important religious celebrations of the region paralyzed in times the time of the harvest. Today it conserves a traditional novena to which hundreds of believers go every year.

- Magosto in Campobecerros: agreeing, paradógicamente, with San Martiño, she is (next to the Carnival) one of the few celebrations of origin pagarno that were without cristianizar. The celebration, in honor of one of typical products (the chestnut) allows to enjoy the chestnut roasted (brown roasted) and the young wine, of the last harvest. In addition, in some of the towns of Municipality other gastronomical celebrations related to the artisan use of the old furnaces of each town are celebrated, that were recovered for benefit of the own neighbors. Sound to be celebrations that praise the culinarias properties of those furnaces, and that if they can verify in the product baking craftsmen like the bread, the empadas ones or the Earth meats like the cabrito or the lamb. They emphasize the Celebration of the Furnace of Pepín, celebrated the Saturday of Easter and the Celebration of the furnace of Castrelo do Val that is celebrated at summer time.

The Municipality of Castrelo do Val also counts on a Center of Interpretation of the Patrimony located in the central nucleus of the municipality (Castrelo do Val - street of the Toural) in which if they can admire the equipment of work of the field that if they used in times, as well as own works of the field as to mesh or the harvest that, with the passage of time, the despoboación of the field and mechanization, if they were losing.

The Center of Interpretation of the Patrimony also is used like a place where playful-cultural activities of the Municipality are celebrated.
